Can anyone help me pick the right guitar strings?

First we need to know acoustic or electric. I haven't found a shop that has "house strings". If it is acoustic, most new strings will have a more matallic sound to them. They will mellow over time. I use Martin Phosphor Bronze on my acoustic and GHS Boomers on my electric. You need to experiment with different strings and find the size and sound you like.
