Why do Malaysian Malay Muslims like to use Arabic names and Malaysian Christians use Steve and Nick?

yes, Steve and Nick are not Biblical names, they are just for glamor i guess, same goes for the muslim's as well or any race /religion. You have to choose a good name for your kids, like most western artist have funny names for their kids.. i have few muslim friends with English names such as Samantha, Joanna, Susana, Natashya etc. to name a few, but i'm not sure if these names are in the Quran
