Atheists, according to statistics why do 40% of all scientists believe in a god when there's no need for one?

I should still point out that %40 is a minority in the scientific community, and the study still shows that %95 of the scientific community accepts evolution as a fact. Now if that %40 decide they want imaginary friends, that's perfectly fine, just so long as they don't let it impede their research or conflict with peer review and the appropriate scientific method they follow.
