Muslims i really need help understanding this?

until i got a good understanding of abrogation and how it applies to the quran. the quran made no sense at all. all scholars agree that when two verses of the quran contradict then the latter verses is to be followed. the no compulsion in religion is one of the peaceful early meccan verses; later the medina verses are known as verses of the sword and verses such as sura 9:5 when the sacred forbidden months for fighting are past,fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, torture them and lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war; sura2:191 kill the disbelievers wherever you find them; sura8:7 allah wishes to confirm his words; wipe the infidel out to the last;; these and dozens like these contradict the earlier peacful verses. so these are the ones allah wants muslims to follow;sura 2:106 any verse we abrogate or cause to be forgotten we substitute with something better or simlier. don't they know allah can do anything!
